To vote at the AGM, you must be a current member and have purchased or renewed before 11:59 p.m. on October 11, 2024. Your membership is not included with your registration fee. If you are not a member, you may attend by purchasing an Observer Pass, but you will not be able to participate in debates or vote.
Provincial Board Members serve two-year terms, with half elected each year. This year, members registered for the AGM will vote for the following positions: Chief Financial Officer, VP Policy and Governance, VP Membership, and one Director from each region (Edmonton, North, South, Calgary, Central).
To make the AGM more affordable, we offer an optional Saturday lunch. If you choose the meal option, lunch will be provided. Otherwise, you’ll need to arrange your own lunch.
A buffet lunch will be served between 11 am and 1 pm for those who purchased the meal option only with their AGM ticket. It will consist of Alberta beef on a bun, hot baked beans, and caesar salad. Additionally, coffee, tea, and a drink will be available.
Moreover, there will be three concession stands offering food and refreshments for purchase.
Updates are shared via email. If you haven’t received them, you may have unsubscribed or your information might be outdated. Please email us at info@unitedconservative.ca with your full name and address for assistance.
The board election package, including rules and application, will be posted here and emailed with AGM updates. Keep an eye on this page and your email.
No, since the AGM operates on a cost-recovery basis. Registration fees cover event costs, and no profit is made, so no tax receipt is issued as per Elections Alberta guidelines.
A leadership review is held at one out of every three AGMs, in non-election years. This year, members registered for the AGM will vote by secret ballot on the question: “Do you approve of the current Leader?” with the answers “Yes” or “No.” To vote, you must be a member by the October 11, 2024 deadline, register for the AGM, and attend in person.
Absolutely! We’ve got you covered.
