Scott Sinclair is 38 years old & has lived and worked in the Lesser Slave Lake region almost his entire life. He is a small business owner, fifth generation local, Indigenous entrepreneur with two beautiful daughters and amazing wife (Shantelle), who is also from Slave Lake. They started dating in high school 20 years ago and they have been happily married for 12 years.
After completing high school as vice-president of his grad class at 17 years old, Scott moved to Estevan to pursue a hockey career in the SJHL. After winning a championship his final year, he moved home to Slave Lake and began working for a local oil & gas company. He immediately began serving his community and became the youngest hockey coach (22 years old) to win “coach of the year” honours in the NWJHL. Coaching the local indigenous youth at native provincials from Sawridge First Nation for two years in a row was also a very rewarding experience.
Shortly after the fires in 2011 in Slave Lake, which followed the unexpected tragic passing of his mother-in-law, Scott and his wife moved to Edmonton in 2012 to open a business. This franchise did not survive and Scott began working at Glassmasters Autoglass in 2014. After several promotions and moving his family 4 times in 5 years, he left the company in 2019 and eventually opened his own windshield company.
He is now a successful owner of two small businesses and spends his time raising his family while continuing to give back by doing motivational speeches for indigenous youth. He looks forward to fighting for the people in northern Alberta and delivering positive results; while protecting their way of life and good paying jobs. Applying his unique skill set of business acumen, emotional intelligence, sense of humour and commitment, Scott is very excited to serve the people of Lesser Slave Lake.
