June 18, 2022 — The Leadership Election Committee (LEC) of the United Conservative Party has appointed former MLA and Cabinet Minister Rick Orman as Returning Officer for its leadership vote. Mr. Orman just recently served in the same role for the Party’s leadership review.

“Our committee felt that Mr. Orman’s excellent reputation together with his experience running a vote by mail process were the right fit for this race,” said David Price, Chair of the LEC. “We’re grateful that he’s agreed to take on this important role and we’re confident that he will be an integral component of ensuring a secure and transparent vote.”

The Returning Officer is responsible for overseeing the Leadership Election and ensuring that it is conducted in a manner that is fair, impartial and accountable to the Members of the United Conservative Party.
