  • Made more newcomer entrepreneurs eligible for the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) by reducing the minimum investment for the Rural Entrepreneurship Stream of the AAIP. 
  • The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program will issue 9,750 nominations in 2023, up from 6,500 allowed in 2022.
  • The Labour Mobility Act ensures highly skilled certified workers from across Canada can bring their expertise to Alberta and help grow our economy – no matter where in the country they received their credentials.
  • $18.9 million for the Alberta Settlement and Integration Program to help newcomers access settlement, language, training and other supports. Each year, the program provides services for up to 14,000 eligible newcomers.
