Multiculturalism
  • Established the Premier’s Council on Multiculturalism. This council will provide a platform for Albertans that represent marginalized communities and will ensure their voices are heard and their ideas for possible solutions to their issues are considered.
  • Created the $1.5 million Multiculturalism Anti-Racism Grants (MARG) program to help promote cross cultural understanding to help build stronger and safer communities. These grants are aimed at teaching Albertans that diversity is key to strong communities and are also used to help tackle racism. 
  • Started a new $8 million grant program to help ethno cultural communities across the province celebrate their culture and help other Albertans learn and appreciate different cultures.
  • Provided humanitarian support for Syria and Turkiye.
  • The UCP is committed to fighting racism and building inclusive communities.
